Below Market Rate (BMR) Apartments Coming Soon
We're excited to announce that five (5) Below Market Rate (BMR) apartment homes are anticipated to become available for move-in beginning August 15, 2026. The City of Santa Clara's Below Market Rate Housing Program helps make housing more affordable for qualifying households by offering apartment homes at rents that are lower than current market rates. These homes are intended to provide eligible residents with access to high-quality housing while maintaining affordability based on household income guidelines established by the City.
How BMR Qualification Works
Eligibility for BMR apartments is determined using total gross household income, which includes the combined income of all household members who will be residing in the apartment. Applicants must meet the income requirements established by the City of Santa Clara at the time of application and provide supporting documentation during the qualification process. Please note that qualification is based on household income limits and program requirements, not solely on an individual applicant's income.
